About Jin: The Butterfly, Neverland & Psyche themes.The Save me Webtoon so far seems to be confirming everything I’ve already explained at length about 3 years ago now. Remember the Cupid and Psyche’s reference from the HYYH era, on Instagram? JungKook is basically the personification of youth (and Cupid, Psyche’s true love) that Jin basically just tries to save… Then Jin’s subconscious keeps « coming back » to his youth in HYYH, to his personal « Nerverland », because his mind just refuses this new reality: he’s now become an adult. His death in both INU and the Save Me Webtoon is only a metaphor for that. Some of them are more ready than others to let go of youth, JK being the readiest. Jin is the main entity of the story (or « Psyche », the soul), and the boys are the embodiment of his internal struggle (his conflicting emotions) towards adulthood. The HYYH Trilogy is actually about the hardships of growing up and letting go of youth. But if you want to make sense of HYYH, you should also interpret it very metaphorically. You can totally and absolutely appreciate it as a stand-alone story about suicide and a friendship falling apart, with Jin trying to rewrite history through time travel. It’s not a *literal* explanation for what happened in HYYH, you’ll only be disappointed if you think it is going to answer everything.
